Watford Town Centre Chaplaincy began in 2004 in response to a plea for help from civic and retail leaders. Serving the town centre day and night through our teams of volunteer chaplains and Street Angels, our heart is to demonstrate God's unconditional love to all who work, shop, play and live here.
Chaplains can be found serving the community of Watford day and night – offering comfort, support and a listening ear. Chaplains currently volunteer in retail, emergency services, as Street Angels, GPs’ surgeries, the Town Hall and the waterways.
If you would like to find out more about volunteering as a chaplain, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get in touch to arrange an initial meeting. All volunteers must provide two references. Volunteers receive initial training, ongoing supervision and support from the Watford Town Centre Chaplaincy team.
Watford Town Centre Chaplaincy is dependent upon the generous support of churches and individuals in Watford and the local area. Please do consider becoming a Friend of Watford Town Centre Chaplaincy.
