Colin Heath – Treasurer

I was born in Harrow and attended schools in Pinner and Hampstead. On leaving school I qualified as a Charted Management Accountant working initially on the railways.

I married Cathy, a teacher, in 1977 and we have two daughters, both now married, and we now enjoy our four grandchildren. Brought up in a nearby Baptist Church I became a Christian in 1978, and was baptised and confirmed in 1979. Cathy and I have worshipped at St Peter's, Watford since 1995, and I was admitted and licensed as a Reader in 2004.

Having worked in Civil Service finance departments for 22 years I took an early retirement package in 2011. I then joined the chaplaincy as a trustee, and became Treasurer in 2012.

Since then I have also become chaplain at the Health Inclusion Matters surgery. With a long held passion to deepen my understanding and application of Scripture, I'm also keen to develop my faltering early steps in adopting contemplative and meditative prayer.

Outside church and family matters, my interests centre on model railways and listening to classical, especially choral, music, time not having allowed choral singing for some years.
