Many nights our town centre is full of young people. Tens of thousands visit the many pubs and clubs each weekend.   And people of all age visit Watford's Palace Theatre and the town's many restaurants and other attractions.  Our vision is to serve the staff and guests of all these establishments, with teams of well trained chaplains offering pastoral support, a listening ear and practical help.  Richard Chewter is the lead chaplain in the Entertainment sector, and chaplain to the Palace Theatre.

Street Angels

As the Watford Observer reported in September; “In their distinctive blue coats, they are a noticeable presence in the town centre at weekends”.    Who are they?  Street Angels of course!  The teams of trained church members, aged from 18 to 72, walk the streets around the bars and nightclubs on Friday and Saturday evenings.  Their presence has been appreciated by many, as they help those in need and also diffuse potentially difficult situations.
